The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (Vancouver and Abbotsford) is designed for business oriented individuals, whom are prepared to make an investment in and actively manage a new or existing business in the Vancouver and Abbotsford region of British Columbia, in order to obtain a permanent residence visa for themselves and their families. General Requirements:

The business applicant must have a minimum personal net worth of $800,000 CAD and make a business investment of at least $400,000 and obtain ownership of at least 33.33% of an eligible business.

Nomination Criteria

  • Minimum $400,000 CAD to invest in a new business or to develop an eligible business in BC.
  • Minimum personal net worth of $800,000 CAD.
  • Must own at least 33.33% of the equity of the business.
  • Create a minimum of 3 new job opening in the business for Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
  • Sign a performance agreement with the Province of British Columbia.
  • Possess the skills and experience necessary to establish and operate a business in BC.
  • The individuals must actively participate in the everyday management of the business.
  • Must demonstrate a comprehensive business plan
  • If wishing to participate in the fast track nomination, the individual must sign a deposit agreement with the Province of British Columbia.
