Friday, 10 September 2010.Connection between canada and India is growing day-by-day both economically and culturally and there is great potential for even stronger ties between the two countries.Canadian officials are trying to deepen the these ties by visiting India.
To end immigration fraud,for that the Canadian i.e. Citizenship and Immigration, Canada is urging officials in Philippines,China and India to end to immigration fraud.The minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Jason Kenney, is visiting to these countries to meet officials and ministers responsible for immigration.Some issues like illegal immigration,immigration fraud, human trafficking, the resettlement of refugees are been discusssed and an another reason, that is to increase the number of Federal Skilled Worker immigrants.
Anti-fraud initiatives is started in india in 2009.Jason Kenney,the Immigration Minister is first visiting India to focus on the Immigration fraud.Jason Kenney will spend three days this week in India,and may insist Indian Government officials to focus more on law-enforcement resources and share more information with Canada on “immigration fraudsters”.Through a greater level of information sharing, it is hoped that the Canadian government, together with the Indian government, can stamp out the problem - protecting Canadian borders and Indian nationals who are hoping to settle in Canada. Immigration fraud has been a big problem in India where fake document production are produced.
Minister Kenney said in a statement, “In 2009 Punjab officials indicated they shared my concern with this illegal activity and committed to crack down on crooked consultants. I look forward to discussing progress made to-date and our continued cooperation on this issue.”
The Immigration Minister Kenney’s visit to Philippines and the China will also focus on collaboration on finding and improving cooperation,then prosecuting crooked consultants.
In China, Minister Kenney is expected to make an announcement concerning international students.
In the Philippines, Minister Kenney is about to inform the new measures Canada is taking to protect live-in caregivers including giving them the most generous pathway towards permanent residency as compared to any other country in the developed world
