Immigrate to Canada as an Investor
Another effective program available when obtaining Permanent Residency status in Canada is the Immigrant Investor Program.
Unlike with entrepreneurs, the Immigrant Investor Program is ideal for those who want to immigrate to Canada but do not want to have conditions attached to the Permanent Residence Visa once issued.
In order to be eligible for the Immigrant Investor Program an individual must:
(a) Have legally accumulated net-worth exceeding C$ 800,000 (Net-worth means everything the applicant and the spouse owns together such as properties, business, bank deposits, stock and shares etc. anywhere in the world).
(b) Have minimum of two years of business management experience.
(c) Deposit C$400,000 with the Government of Canada for five years. The total money is refunded back to the Investor after 5 years without any interest. Loan is available if required.
(d) Fluency in English or French is not required under this program.
Applicant, spouse and the dependent children gets Canadian Permanent immigration.
If your net –worth is less than $ 800,000 but more than $ 400,000, you may be eligible to apply for FAST TRACK INVESTOR VISA.
